CAV Systems has long been a supporter of apprenticeships and currently has apprentices working in a wide range of roles across the business, including production, administration, and engineering.
The company works with local learning providers including Derwentside College and Access Training to support their development and has just announced it will be recruiting a further four apprentices this month (June 2022).
The vacancies are in finance, engineering, IT, stores and production.
Thomas Barnaby works for CAV Systems and is doing a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
Thomas said: “If anyone is considering doing an apprenticeship I would say ‘go for it’, as it not only allows you to develop new skills, but also enables you to get used to the working environment in a way no classroom can.
“CAV is a really well established company but it is constantly innovating so it is a great business to work for.”
