Last month, CAV’s Vice President of quality Kevin Diston joined members of Grob Aircraft, Dominik Voss on behalf of Quality, and Martin Rooney on behalf of Procurement, to conduct an audit of the onsite quality management system and CAV’s internal processes for CAV Systems Ltd to become a verified supplier for Grob Aircraft.
Based in Bavaria, Germany, Grob Aircraft are an aircraft manufacturer in the general aviation sector. Founded in 1971, they specialise in gliders and trainer aircraft, with a range of various aircraft in their catalogue, and are a world leader in manufacturing composite aircraft.
After auditing all areas of the business, including quality and their quality management system, supply chain procurement and the buying process, and manufacturing of parts, Grob shared that CAV Systems passed, and are officially a certified supplier of this renowned general aviation manufacturer.
Kevin Diston, Vice President of Quality, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Dominik and Martin from Grob Aircraft to our UK sites to conduct their process audit. As part of their process of us becoming a new supplier, they audited every aspect of CAV’s internally processes, and I’m delighted to see we passed with confidence. Well done everyone involved.”
