Phil Hopkins joins CAV as VP of Business Development

CAV Systems have appointed Phil Hopkins as their new Vice President of Business Development.

Based at their headquarters in Consett, County Durham, CAV specialises in anti-ice protection and drag reduction technology for the general aviation, commercial aerospace and defence sectors worldwide.

With a strong background in the sales and marketing spheres, as well as experience in managing large teams, he will be a valued member of the wider team and also take a seat on CAV’s SLT.

Phil started his career working at CAV (then Aerospace Systems and Technologies) as an apprentice almost 28 years ago. Leaving with eight years of experience for greener pastures, he has since gained experience in different manufacturing sectors and has developed skills in leadership and management from previous roles.

When asked about taking this role, Phil said “I’m pleased to announce that I’ve joined CAV Systems as Vice President of Business Development. Driving opportunities to maximise the revenue potential of the business, he will be at the head of continuing and nurturing relationships with existing and potential customers in the aerospace and defence industries.
