CAV Ice Protection Completes 300th Bonanza TKS® Install, On Display at EAA AirVenture 2010

19th July 2010

The 300th Beechcraft Bonanza with the TKS Ice Protection System is being installed by CAV Ice Protection at its Salina, KS facilities. When completed, it will be displayed at EAA AirVenture at CAV Ice Protection’s Booth 121-123 from July 26-August 1 in Oshkosh, WI.

The landmark Bonanza is a 1979 V-35B model — one of the last classic V-tail versions built. In addition to the TKS Ice Protection System modification, the aircraft has been upgraded with an Atlantic Aero engine and cowling installation, a custom avionics suite and redone interior.

The plane belongs to Randy Africano, a board member of the American Bonanza Society. He owns and operates AAM Consulting, a full-service air medical consulting firm based in Peoria, IL that specializes in the air medical industry.

“We are grateful to Randy Africano for letting us display his very unique and classic Bonanza V-Tail at Oshkosh,” said Kevin Kawley, president of CAV Ice Protection. “We encourage everyone to take a look at this great airplane and the other TKS-equipped aircraft we also have on display.”

Other TKS-equipped aircraft on display at EAA AirVenture at CAV Ice Protection’s booth will include a Mooney and a Cessna Caravan.
