MADE in the North East Awards Success

CAV Systems are celebrating after collecting two awards at the Insider Media Made in the North East Awards

The awards, held at Hilton Newcastle Gateshead, showcased the quality products and services that manufacturing and engineering companies supply and the skilled people that work for them.

Engineering Manufacturing Apprentice Adam Steadman was named Apprentice of the Year and CAV also collected the Exporter of the Year Award.

The only supplier of fluid-based ice protection systems globally and the leading supplier of laser perforated surfaces, CAV has systems installed in over 100 different aircraft variants.

In 2022, two new aircraft programmes were certified incorporating CAV’s Ice Protection – the Kodiak 900 and the Diamond DA50, both being export markets. Other projects include the development of a further aircraft system, plus further platforms, for future development.

Part of national competition, which is designed to showcase UK Manufacturing, CAV will take their place representing the North East at the Made In the UK Awards in June.
